Job Title: Senior Lecturer in Sport, Physical Education and Health

Salary: £49,841 – £57,723 per annum

Role Summary:
The postholder will work within the existing team and contribute to the development and
delivery of the Sport PE and Health (SPEH) programme. The person appointed must have
a significant understanding of contemporary themes within the discipline and can
communicate these through theory into practice. The postholder will provide academic
leadership and deliver on modules related to Sport Physical Education and Health at
undergraduate and postgraduate level. They will have the ability to contribute to Programme
and School-wide modules including research methods and placement modules. The
postholder will plan and deliver lectures, practical sessions and seminars embracing
innovative high-quality teaching, learning and assessment methods including both face-toface and digitally facilitated teaching. They will be expected to publish high-quality research,
supervise postgraduate and undergraduate researchers. They will also be expected to lead
research and/or innovation proposals and projects within the research group (PHELL) where
appropriate, apply for and secure research & innovation funding, manage project
deliverables, deliver outputs and secure impact.
